On the first day of the session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, which commenced here today, obituary resolutions were passed to pay rich tributes to those prominent personalities who expired between the period from the end of the previous session and the beginning of this session.
CM Nayab Singh Saini, who is also the Leader of the House, paid tributes and read out the obituary resolutions. These include Satya Pal Malik, former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya, Goa, Odisha and Bihar, Inder Singh Nain, Hari Ram Balmiki, former Members of Haryana Legislative Assembly and Mangal Singh, Freedom Fighter.
Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Harvinder Kalyan also read the obituary resolutions and paid tributes to the departed souls. Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Aditya Devilal also read the obituary resolutions on behalf of his party. The House conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
The House also expressed its deep sense of sorrow on the sad and untimely demise of 26 innocent persons who were brutally killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir on 22 April, 2025. This House strongly condemns the terrorist attack and resolves to convey its heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
This House places on record its deep sense of sorrow on the untimely demise of 260 persons who lost their lives in the crash of Air India flight from Ahmedabad to London on June 12, 2025. In this tragic accident, the former Chief Minister of Gujarat, Sh. Vijay Rupani also lost his life.
The House also gave a tearful farewell to 43 brave soldiers of Haryana who showed indomitable courage and made the supreme sacrifice while safeguarding the unity and integrity of the motherland.
